Long term interim opportunity for a Building Surveyor to join a public sector estate in Somerset

Your new company
As a Building Surveyor you will be joining a public sector landlord based in Somerset, one of the largest employers in the region who are responsible for the maintenance and development of critical infrastructure and services across the county of Somerset.

Your new role
You will work in a project driven role, using your technical expertise to deliver building related projects to a wide range of public buildings, as well as schools and education facilities. As a Building Surveyor, you will take full ownership of your projects, from initial inspection and consultation through to design, specification, procurement / tender and delivery of works - ensuring all projects are completed on time, to the required quality, and within budget.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will need to have previous experience working as a Building Surveyor, Technical Surveyor or Planned Works Surveyor in a similar role, involving the delivery of projects up to £1.5million in value. It would be great if you had a degree in Building Surveying, or an HND / HNC in construction, although this is not essential.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive an hourly rate of up to £34 per hour, and will also be able to take advantage of annual leave entitlement, pension contributions and other benefits. You will work on a contract basis initially, undertaking an initial six month contract which is highly likely to be extended beyond this point.
