Director Level Electrical Design Engineer

Permanent opportunity for a Director Level Electrical Design Engineer with a consultancy based in Manchester!

Your new company

A great family run business working on a variety of projects including, commercial office space, hotels, data centres, leisure centres and the aerospace industry. You will be working alongside a team of Building Services Engineers and Architects. With a range of large projects secured for the short term they offer plenty of work at a growing company. The office is located just a stones throw away from the tram stop, local shops and leisure centre so there is plenty for you to do on your lunch break.

Your new role

You will be working in a modern office among a friendly team of engineers. You will be managing the design process and work commitments of the team keeping a focus on the projects at hand to meet the deadlines set out to you by the partners. You will be expected to deliver the projects on time keeping the team motivated as the projects develop. You will use the wealth of experience gained already to help solve any challenges the project face and find a solution that works for both the client and company. You can expect to see projects through to completion and will report on the progress and development to the business partners. With time you will be working with the business partners to develop and win new projects allowing you to have a real impact on the company and help in growing it further.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with post graduate experience working as an electrical design engineer however Mechanical Engineering experience will also be considered. You will be able to work autonomously and have a good technical knowledge of electrical design. You will need to be chartered with relevant UK experience in running large projects with team supervision reporting directly to the partners.
