Voids Surveyor Needed ASAP, 3 Month Contract, North West London Location, Hybrid Working

Based in North West London this public sector organisation are currently looking to recruit for a Voids Surveyor to join their housing division. The organisation owns in excess of 10,000 residential properties and have recently completed a merger with another housing management company which is the reason they are now looking to recruit a Voids Surveyor to help with a rising caseload.

The area is serviced by excellent transport links which makes this a very commutable location. The organisations offices are no more than a 10 minute walk from local bus and train stations with the option of onsite parking however spaces are limited.

Your new role

To deliver a high level comprehensive technical surveying function incorporating diagnosis, specification, ordering, supervision, and communication in order to maximise effectiveness and financial performance.

Provide a high level of service with emphasis on getting void properties fit for purpose, rent loss minimised and providing 6-month defect free properties for new customers.

Work with partners to set, coordinate, track and ensure completion of voids with other services to get things done for the customer which meet or exceed customers' expectations.

What you'll need to succeed

Relative experience of building maintenance in a local authority or other registered social landlord.
Experience in the management and administration of domestic building repairs.
Ability to accurately diagnose, specify, order, supervise and manage technical repair solutions.
Knowledge of repair responsibilities, leasehold obligations, and other related housing issues.
Ability to write reports outlining structural and/or repair-based solutions
