As Project Coordinator you will be responsible for the co-ordination of electrical works for capital and maintenance projects. This is a permanent position based in Tayside

Your new role

In your new role as Project Coordinator you will be responsible for the organisation, control and quality management of electrical building services. You will liaise with external design team members and in-house stakeholders during phases of capital and small works projects being carried out on site. You will assist with the delivery and planning of maintenance type projects including delegated budgets. You will provide direct line management and supervision to the electrical trades team as and when required. Part of your role will be to attend project progress meetings and produce progress reports as requested. You will perform on site electrical clerk of works duties including issuing permits to work, witnessing test and commissioning along with general day to day site inspections. You will be tasked with creating, raising and issuing purchase to suppliers and contractors utilising departmental procurement and financial systems

What you'll need to succeed

You'll need to have a proven track record in working on planned and reactive maintenance projects on capital projects either in a supervisory or trade capacity. You must hold relevant industry qualifications such as HNC/ HND or equivalent in electrical building services or a recognised building services trade apprenticeship. In addition to your core technical skills, you must have strong IT skills and be able to liaise with a range of stakeholders including contractors and the wider project delivery team.
