Senior Quantity Surveyor (Civils)

A Senior Quantity Surveyor is required for a large Civil Engineering project in beautiful North Wales. Hays Civil Engineering is working alongside a National Civil Engineering Contractor with a huge reputation within the Civil Engineering sector. We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an outstanding, and unique project in North Wales

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will come from a Civil Engineering background and ideally have progressed through the ranks on site. You will be a key stakeholder in the project and will take supervised responsibility for the commercial function of a project or section of a project. Experience in working on multi-million-pound Civil Engineering projects is crucial to this role

• To contribute to a result as agreed with local commercial management
• To protect the company's position throughout 360-degree relationships
• To carry out commercial tasks and present results in an orderly and accurate format
• Proactively contribute to the commercial success of the project and thus the business
• Prepare applications and reports
• Review incoming accounts and correspondence and react accordingly
• Manage specified subcontract accounts and support senior commercial staff in negotiations
• Agree a personal development plan and deliver the objectives
• Contribute to the development of subordinates

You will need proven Quantity Surveying experience working on large Civil Engineering projects, and possess the skills and experience required to positively influence and support change on large Construction projects.

This is a site-based role based in Gwynedd, North Wales, but there is flexibility to work remotely due to a hybrid working policy; however, this would need to wrap around the complex nature and highly demanding nature of this project
