National private practice seeking an APC Building Surveyor, North West homebased opportunity - Chester office

Job Title: Building Surveyor
Location: Chester, homebased flexible working arrangement
Remuneration: £40,000-£48,000 basic salary + bonus + industry leading benefits package

A national private practice that has seen impressive increased turnover from £5million per annum to £20million per annum in the last 3 years. A highly successful private practice and market leading multi-disciplinary seeking to grow its North West team offering scope for career progression coaching and mentoring others as they continue to grow the team. As a business they support and develop employees offering Building Surveyors opportunities to gain their MRICS, NEBOSH or expert witness status. Undertaking a variety of work in the North West region from Windmill renovations to rebuild of industrial units and roof replacements - this is an excellent opportunity to get involved in a diverse range of projects.

Your new role
Working on a variety of buildings, main duties of the Building Surveyor role include;

  • Carrying out part wall work, measured surveys, condition reports, acquisition surveys and defect investigations
  • Advising on design and construction, maintenance and refurbishments of a variety of commercial and residential buildings
  • Preparation of schedules of works and reports to be presented to the client
  • Managing medium to large scale renovation projects across the North West
  • Ensuring designs and work carried out are in line with technical standards and building contracts
  • Coaching and mentoring of junior staff


What you'll need to succeed
A proven background in a variety of building surveying disciplines across professional services and project management within commercial buildings. You must be a teamplayer and possess strong technical knowledge.
