Utilities/Energy Officer Academic estates - single site Salary ranging from £30K - £35K


Your new company
Your employer would be a large public sector organisation based in Wolverhampton. You would be working in the Asset & Estates Management Department as a Utilities/Energy Officer.


Your new role
You will be responsible for managing the Energy, Water & Sustainability performance of the buildings on the estate and so will be reviewing the current operation and then carrying out assessments to identify and resolve any problems and make sure any necessary changes are applied. Reduce overall costs for electrical, mechanical energy and water supplies. You would be working closely with the Sustainability manager to agree on how to reduce energy usage and Carbon Emissions as well as Working with the Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to improve the operating efficiency of plant rooms and buildings.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a Degree in an Energy/ Environment Engineering or Sustainable Building Design Discipline (or equivalent qualification) as well as experience and knowledge within the Energy Management field. You will also need experience working with building management systems (BMS) and energy management systems. You will also need Membership of the Institute of Energy or be a member of CIBSE

What you'll get in return
You will be paid a salary starting from £30k with incremental pay increases throughout the role up to 35K. You will benefit from 29 days of annual leave and as well as a generous pension scheme, childcare (with onsite nursery) and maternity/paternity and adoption leave & pay.
