We are delighted to be working with the development arm of one of the local authorities in London. They currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Development Manager to join their new and dynamic team that work across one of the largest regeneration projects in London. 

The Role 

- To lead on the delivery of the second development phase of the regeneration scheme through the design and town planning process to completion; you will be accountable for the projects` financial monitoring and programme milestones.
- The role will be based in the London office reporting into the Project Director.
- The phase will deliver circa 400 homes and commercial space including the refurbishment of 168 for private rent, with community exhibition and workspace at its base. There will also be affordable houses, maisonettes and flats, mixed tenure homes, commercial spaces at ground floor, a pocket park and play street.
- To manage Phase 2 with end-to-end programme and risk management responsibility through to completion. To ensure successful outcomes, as agreed with the business and local residents are met as well as maximising capital investment return and achieving income targets as outlined in the project viability model.
- To lead on the timely delivery of the project programme, including the day-to-day planning and management of the project team to ensure Phase 2 is delivered in a safe, efficient and sustainable manner, whilst achieving project targets.
- To act as project lead in relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that effective consultation and communication takes place.
- To procure and manage a large team including master planners, architects, engineers, town planners and other specialists to deliver, in partnership with residents, a detailed reserved matters planning approval.

Desired Skills

- Ability to demonstrate a track record of delivery across large scale residential led schemes as a Senior Development Manager or Development Manager. 
- Educated to Degree level within a relevant property related subject.
- Hold a professional qualification e.g MRICS, MRTPI. 
- Excellent understanding of development appraisals and viability, programme and risk management, financial monitoring and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrable experience of procuring and managing a large design team including other disciplines such as master planners, architects, engineers, town planners and other specialists.
