Helpdesk Manager, Birmingham Hours: Monday- Friday 9.00am- 5.30pm (Hybrid) Salary: 25k to 27k


Your new company
Your employer would be a commercial property consultancy servicing across the country with offices in Birmingham, London, and Manchester. You would be working within the Management Team as a Senior Helpdesk Coordinator for their new client/contract in their Birmingham office.

Your new role
The role would demand a hands-on approach in its first instance where you will set up the maintenance desk covering the contracts in 16 sites and take all inbound maintenance request calls via email or phone, leading to managing the other coordinators/staff/contractors once the desk is finalised.
Some of your duties would include:

  • To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles
  • Extract monthly maintenance. Cross-reference it against the maintenance schedule.
  • To log all calls on the call logging system and maintain full documentation. Allocating service requests to the dedicated service provider
  • To upkeep performance against agreed SLAs and report regularly using agreed KPIs.


What you'll need to succeed
A perfect candidate for this role would be from a facilities management or services sector background and looking to make the step into a more senior position. You will need to have experience working on a helpdesk/service desk and experience in team leadership/supervisory. You will need to be proficient with Microsoft programs, especially Excel. You will need strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise your workload, outstanding communication skills and the capability to work as part of a team as well as individually
