Health & Safety Coordinator - Permanent - Up to £37,000 DOE - Manufacturing

I am currently working with a global manufacturing business who employee around 300 employees on this site and are a forward-thinking organisation in terms of Health & Safety. They are currently looking for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join an experienced team on a permanent basis. With a range of products, this company are dedicated to provide high quality products and aim for consistent improvement. This is a new role that has been created to support the business with their commitment to delivering an exceptional Health & Safety programme.

Your new role
Reporting into the HSE Manager, you will be joining an experienced and supportive Health & Safety team made up of a HSE Manager, Environmental Manager and a Fire Safety Officer. The main purpose of your role is to assist the HSE Manager in all matters relating to Health & Safety. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist in ensuring compliance is met for all Health & Safety legislation across the business
• Promote a positive behavioural safety culture
• Maintain site process safety management system
• Ensure both occupational and process safety KPI's are met and monitored
• Coordinate safety audits and ensure any actions are followed up and completed in a timely manner
• Assist in accident and incident investigations
• Support in reviewing chemical inventories in all departments and checked against the COMAH regulations

Although the site is no longer a COMAH site, the business aim to continue to work towards these standards so experience of working in this environment would be advantageous.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you must have previous experience in a Health & Safety position, ideally within manufacturing although this is not essential, along with NEBOSH. Experience within process safety is hugely advantageous. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to work on your own initiative and be comfortable working to deadlines.

What you'll get in return
This is a full time role offering a salary of up to £37,000 depending on experience. Hours for this position are 8.30 - 5pm. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 9% matched pension scheme, discretionary bonus scheme, income protection and life assurance and the possibility of some hybrid working in line with business requirements.
