Deputy Director of Estates Assurance

Brunel University London is a leading research-intensive University and has a diverse population of around 16,152 students, of whom around 5,792 are international students from 144 countries.

This role will sit within the Campus Services Directorate and will report to the Director of Estates Development & Infrastructure. The Deputy Director of Estates Assurance will lead a team of Assurance Managers to oversee statutory and engineering compliance and compliance-related project works across a mixed-use estate portfolio of research and teaching facilities, student residences, social and hospitality space, sports facilities and commercial space.

Of equal importance, the successful candidate will play a key role in modernising the end to end processes of the Estates Assurance team and ensure that all works are closely integrated with the work of the Estates Development and Estates Infrastructure teams and other relevant stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading large Estate compliance programmes. They will also have proven team leadership experience, with the capability to lead internal staff members as well as external project teams. Excellent communication and leadership skills, along with the ability to operate successfully at a senior level with a diverse range of stakeholder groups are essential to succeed in this role.

Experience of working in or with the higher education sector is advantageous although not essential.  It is expected that candidates will possess a related professional qualification.
