Building Services Manager - Tayside/ Fife - £ competitive


Your new company

As a Building Services Manager you will be working as part of the estates team which provides a range of functional activities which help the organisation achieve its corporate objectives. The team is responsible for implementing decisions relating to the buildings, fabric and infrastructure of the organisation. This role offers a fairly immediate start with an ongoing contract.

Your new role

In your new role as Building Services Manager your main responsibility will be to develop, implement and monitor the organisations comprehensive asset management and planned maintenance strategy for building fabric elements. You will assume the lead role on all building fabric related aspects and to actively contribute to associated engineering issues. As part of your role you will also be expected to assume ownership of the estates condition surveys and ensure that they are kept up to date at all times.
You will also manage the planning, costing, organisation and implementation of long-term maintenance, building lifecycle planning, minor works and other building related projects and you will offer and provide technical advice and support to the estates team on building fabric matters. Another of your responsibilities will be to manage capital asset replacement and refurbishment projects from inception to completion ensuring a seamless handover to clients and in-house maintenance personnel.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have a proven track record in asset management over the full lifecycle of a project along with project management experience in a technical, customer focussed environment. You should have detailed knowledge and experience of developing planned maintenance programmes. You must be degree qualified in a technical engineering or construction discipline. In addition to your core technical skills you must have strong IT skills and be able to liaise with a range of stakeholders including contractors and the wider project delivery team.
