Commercial Asset Manager

Macdonald & Company are delighted to be retained by Heyford Park Management Company. Heyford Park are a privately owned company that is based in North Oxfordshire and that is seeking a Commercial Asset Manager to join their Estate Management Team. Heyford Park is a major strategic regeneration development situated on a former Air Base. As well as the Residential offering, Heyford Park also provide a wide range of Commercial Property opportunities with over 1.3m sqft. of commercial accommodation. The accommodation is made up of warehousing, workshops, retail, lab space and offices ranging from 700-30,000 sqft.

Heyford Park has established itself as one of Oxfordshire's leading business parks, attracting a broad range of occupiers from both private and public sector. The park is home to over 100 established businesses that employ over 1,200 people.

The Role

You will be responsible for working closely with the Directors on the strategic management of the portfolio, which consists of commercial, residential, new build retail and private infrastructure. You will have a key operational role in running the existing commercial estate and integrating it with new-build residential construction to maximise value.

- Regular site inspections and meetings with tenants to ensure compliance with lease obligations
- Dealing with tenant queries and applications to alter, assign/sublet
- Undertake new lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals
- Ensure all lease events are captured and board approval obtained
- Maximise value of the estate through innovative use of the assets such as for filming and hire open spaces including negotiating rental rates
- Ensure the property management database is kept up to date
- Assist in-house planning, development and construction teams on wider strategic projects
- Assist in the portfolio valuation process and produce cost-analysis across the estate
- Instruct and manage external legal and property advisors where appropriate
