UPP is the UK’s leading provider of on-campus residential and academic accommodation infrastructure, operating over 36,000 rooms in partnership with 15 world-leading universities across the UK. We have launched our ambitious Building Futures strategy and are mobilising to deliver this at pace.

UPP is seeking to make the crucial appointment to the role of Regional Technical Asset Manager.  Reporting to the Head of Technical Asset Management within UPP’s Asset Management Division, this role will lead asset management at seven University campuses across the Midlands and North of England, specifically planning and delivering life cycle and asset replacement programmes, delivering refurbishment, modernisation and sustainability projects as well supporting defect management.  You will lead on intelligent asset management planning, including condition analysis and data gathering on the estate, analysing trends, and working on options appraisal to inform long and short term investment strategies.

We are seeking an individual with experience of asset management/building surveying activities including whole life costing, condition analysis and asset replacement planning and delivery, together with the technical and commercial understanding of the procurement and management of strategic maintenance and refurbishment projects and programmes. Experience of working on a portfolio with comparable characteristics to the one found at UPP would be particularly advantageous, as would a technical background and professional qualification in the construction industry.

The role requires excellent communication skills both externally with clients and internally, with the ability to lead a team and to manage multi-disciplinary consultants and work with stakeholders across the business.

This is an exciting time to join a commercially focused, high performing, customer and results oriented organisation that operates with energy, pace, and passion – and a to play a key role ensuring that UPP provides high-quality, industry-leading facilities.  To learn more the candidate brochure can be viewed at https://online.flippingbook.com/view/463384398/.
