Your new role
In your new role you provide expert advice and expertise for ensuring that the university complies with the requirements of the Building Regulations. You will report to the Fire Safety Manager and be responsible for planning their own workload which mainly consists of a 'rolling' year of activity including training/re-training of Fire Marshals, fire extinguisher training and carrying out fire drills. You will assist drive and monitor works required by regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations and report back to the Fire Safety Manager.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a NEBOSH in Fire Safety or equivalent. You will be knowledgeable and understand building guides and British standards pertaining to fire safe and of principles of building construction in relation to fire safety. You will also need to be computer literate, able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
