Estimator / Quantity Surveyor in Colchester, Essex

Works across the commercial, leisure and hospitality sectors and are a leading shop-fitting and and fit out contractor working in London and surrounding areas.

Your new role

• Developing relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers
• Pricing new enquiries
• Attending site visits as and when required
• Requesting quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Analysing quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Complete take offs from drawings
• Interpreting tender documentation
• Marking up drawings
• Change management
• Pricing variations
• Carrying out cost analysis
• Managing subcontractor procurement
• Working in collaboration with the Project & Site Manager on each project

What you'll need to succeed

• Willingness to learn and a positive can-do attitude
• Interested in working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail
• Team player
• Proficient use of excel
• High level of numeracy
• Previous experience working in a similar role
• Construction related degree / qualifications (preferred but not essential)
