Health & Safety Manager

I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join a market leading manufacturer as their Health & Safety Manager. This company have been established in the UK for over 30+ years and constantly strive for excellence and believe that their people are essential to their success.
Your new role
You will be responsible for a single site where the main purpose of your role is to lead and encourage exceptional behavioural safety practices whilst leading the day-to-day coordination of site requirements including operations, warehousing and other site functions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the inspection and audit process
- Continue to develop Behavioural Safety Programme and provide coaching throughout the business
- Coordination and administration of HSE procedures and systems
- Attend and lead H&S committee meetings where required
- Identify training requirements
- Manage incident investigations
- Providing advice and guidance to managers, employees and contractors
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you must have previous experience in a manufacturing environment and hold NEBOSH as a minimum. You will be computer literate and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills across all levels of the business. You will be confident in challenging poor behaviours and non-adherence whilst leading from the front and demonstrating a positive and flexible manner.
What you'll get in return
This is a full time, permanent position offering a salary of up to £40,000. You will also receive a discretionary performance-based bonus, 23 days holiday + bank holiday with an increase based on length of service, pension, and life insurance.
