Your new company

As an Assistance Compliance Officer would will be operating on the client side in regards to managing the their water contract ensuring that best practice is followed. This role offers an immediate start, ongoing contract, fixed working hours and minimal travel

Your new role

In your new role as an Assistance Compliance Officer you will be required to review the water system monitoring reports (including servicing of TMV's) submitted by the external contractor, ensuring that the tasks have been carried out and completed in a satisfactory standard. Once reviewed you will act on any recommendations that have been made and instruct on any remedial works as required to reduce the risk of legionella contamination and proliferation. As part of your role you will also review the legionella risk assessments and ensure that the data received is consistent with the water system monitoring reports.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll need to have a proven track record in working with legionella and reviewing reports submitted. Ideally you will have an awareness of the sampling required to check for lead in drinking water and a proven track record in using asset management systems. Experience of developing and implementing a legionella management plan would be advantageous. You should have an understanding of the following guidance documents: L8 Legionnaires' disease: The Control of Legionella in Water Systems and HSG274, Legionnaires' disease Part 2: The Control of Legionella Bacteria in hot and cold water systems. You must hold relevant industry qualifications such as BOHS P900 Control of legionella in domestic hot and cold water systems and BOHS P901 Management and Control of Building hot and cold water systems.
