Head of Faculty Estates

Applications are invited for the position of Head of Faculty Estates within the Directorate of Estates and Facilities team.

The Faculty Estates teams play a pivotal role within the University acting as the key interface between the academic Faculties and Professional Services teams who occupy the buildings and the Estates and Facilities Directorate who manage and maintain them.

In addition to providing strategic guidance on property and buildings matters and operational support for the academic Schools and Research Institutes, the role of the team is to ensure that campus, buildings and facilities are managed in line with the expectations of the end user clients, and the University’s Strategic Plan.

As Head of Faculty Estates, in addition to being a member of the Faculty PS Leadership Team, you will represent the Estates and Facilities Directorate at all levels across the University providing advice on strategic and operational property and facilities matters. You will have extensive experience of management and leadership and be a team player who has the ability to communicate using a variety of methods and possess excellent interpersonal skills required to ensure you can contribute to the smooth running of the campus operation.

You will hold an appropriate professional qualification, ideally to a chartered level in a related construction discipline.  You will have a proven track record of providing buildings/facilities related services and advice in a customer focused environment where working to specified deadlines and document management and reporting are paramount.
