Building Control Surveyor - Oxford

Remote working opportunity for a Building Control Surveyor to join Oxford City Council - Interim post

You will join the Building Control department at Oxford City Council, an opportunity to work in a building and construction role in a world class city, where you will make a difference.

Your new role
As a Building Control Surveyor you will make sure that building regulations are followed when houses, offices and other buildings are designed, constructed or altered. If the building doesn't look like it will meet requirements for building regulations, you will advise on finding a solution. Your role will include examination of plans, drawings, specifications and other documents that have been submitted for approval. You may also inspect buildings against regulations for public health, fire safety and energy conservation.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this post you will need to demonstrate a background in Building Control work, ideally as a Surveyor. You'll need to have excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive an hourly rate of £43 per hour, dependent on levels of experience and qualifications. You'll be able to work flexibly, from home, on a part time basis.
