General Assembly Operative working in a large car manufacturing plant.


Your new company
HAYS Recruitment are working in partnership with our client LOTUS CARS, a well known and prestigious car manufacturer based in Norwich to recruit for a number of General Assembly Operative roles.

This will be a permanent position and offers candidates an opportunity to start a new and exciting career.

Your new role
Based at one of their Norwich based manufacturing plants, the role will be working on the Car Assembly Line assisting with the build of each new car. This is an exciting opportunity offering the chance to be part of the build process.

Key Objectives of the role will include:

  • Adherence to process & standardised operations as instructed.
  • Active involvement in company safety culture.
  • Working to improve quality by following process and preventing faults forward.
  • Identify opportunities for reduction of waste and improved methods of working.
  • Undertake training on various tasks to support improved production flexibility.
  • Ensure key performance indicators are achieved in an efficient manner.
  • Ensure timely escalation of concerns to ensure production efficiency.
  • Embrace company ethos & key behaviours.

Knowledge:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing as part of a team with focus on delivering quality is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to follow process.
  • Quality Focused

What you'll get in return
This will be a permanent role for the successful applicants.
The basic salary for this position will £20,275 per annum, with the opportunity to earn increased Overtime rates also.

The typical working hours will be Monday to Thursday, 6.30am to 4.30pm.
Friday will be on a flexi-time basis, if required you will finish at 1pm on Fridays.
Saturday & Sundays will be available when required on an increased Overtime rate.
