Your new company

As a Project Manager you will be working on behalf of the client ensuring that there needs are met and in their best interest. You will be supporting the development and taking the lead for the delivery of specific projects for the Estates team.

Your new role

In your new role as Project Manager you will be helping with the development of projects for the estates team and then take the lead when it comes to delivering the capital projects. You will be involved in improving the delivery of capital and refurbishment projects ensuring value for money is achieved. It will be your responsibility to monitor overall progress of projects and their budgets and report to management any issues that may arise. You will be working with other stakeholders to provide forecasting information to the internal finance team. As part of your new role as Project Manager you will be expected to participate and contribute towards creating an environment in which health and safety is held in high regard and regularly promoted ensuring that individuals are clear about their own responsibilities and the safety objectives of the organisation. You will represent as clients under CDM 2015 regulations ensuring that their client obligations are being met, highlighting any issues and seeking mitigation and/ or alternative guidance as needed. You will present, give summaries and provide any other relevant information at key points within the development process to stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll need to have a proven track record in the successful delivery of construction projects, working on behalf of the client. You will have demonstrable experience of successful financial and budget management for construction and management projects along with a proven track record in leading and managing teams including the performance of individuals. You should have a full understanding of construction procurement strategies, contracts and contract administration and have a relevant degree or equivalent construction qualification. In addition to your core technical skills, you must have strong IT skills and be able to liaise with a range of stakeholders including contractors and the wider project delivery team.
