Chartered Surveyor - Land & Assets - Outside Scope Role

Interim post available for a Chartered Surveyor to lead on land & property negotiations in the Oxford region

Your new company
As a senior surveyor, you will lead on all negotiations on behalf of the council with the Environment Agency, assisting with the Flood Alleviation Scheme, and one of the biggest schemes in the country. You will join a wider project team to help achieve best value delivery for the scheme, whilst maintaining the council's best interests.

Your new role
You will negotiate the terms of an Options Agreement enabling the Environment Agency to acquire multiple land interests as well as the necessary rights to allow delivery of the scheme. You will review all plans to form parts of the options agreement, identifying the interests to be acquired, and ensuring all plans are fully agreed and approved by the council. As part of a wider remit, you will negotiate and agree the terms of the licences, and respond to notices served by the EA as part of section 5A notices.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this post you will need to be qualified as a RICS chartered surveyor. You will have significant experience working on complex projects, with a wide range of stakeholders, and you will have proven ability to analyse complex issues, and to provide practical and creative solutions.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive an initial 6 month contract which has a possibility of extending beyond this date. You will receive a daily rate of pay, outside scope of IR35, which is negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications. This role will allow you to work flexibly from home, although occasional trips to Oxford may be required.
