Long-term interim post available for Fire Risk Manager with affordable / social housing experience

Your new company
As a Fire Risk Manager you will be joining a provider of affordable housing who pride themselves on their customer focused approach. You will lead on work across 2600 properties, and your new employer operate across 125 authority catchments in England.

Your new role
This is a varied post which is both technical and also involves an excellent contracts management and stakeholder relationship responsibilities. A large part of your role will involve the day to day management of a third party property consultancy who are responsible for delivering Fire Risk Assessments, you will ensure FRAs are completed to the required standard and that the correct process is followed at all times. You will play a important role in assessing actions dictated by fire risk assessments, and deciding on the most appropriate course of action from this point. Your team of surveyors will take day to day responsibility for management of actions and works, however you will support this process, assist in tendering for new contractors and ensuring works are undertaken to the required standard.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this post you must have a background which includes work for a housing association or local authority, or specifically within social or affordable housing. You will need to have a NEBOSH qualification in health & safety or fire, and be able to demonstrate a fire risk assessment accreditation.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive an initial contract with up to six months in duration, this is likely to extend further, and if you are interested in a permanent post there is likely to be an opportunity to apply for a salaried version of this role. Your role will pay a daily rate of between £300 - £400 per day, and you can receive money on a PAYE basis, or into a Limited Company with deduction (inside scope, due to some line management responsibility).
