Structural Engineer required to join multi-disciplinary consultancy in Derby.

A forward thinking, pro-active business that delivers schemes throughout the East Midlands and United Kingdom, undertaking civil engineering design services across a broad range of sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, leisure, education, retail and heritage. This work is undertaken for clients from both the public and private sectors. They build strong relationships with clients, contractors and other industry professionals that have been established over many years of working together. The team undertakes pre-planning engineering reports/studies, designs adoptable highway and drainage works involving SuDS drainage features and private civil engineering works using Microdrainage and PDS industry standard software with final drawings produced in AutoCAD.


Your new role
You will join a Multi-disciplinary Engineering Team where you will be involved with a variety of projects both commercial, domestic and industrial. This role is both a design and project management role. You will work in a range of materials including concrete, steel, timber and masonry and you will design using Autocad, Revit and Tekla Tedds. You will work closely with clients, managing their projects, ensuring a high standard of work is completed and designing detailed drawings of structures.

What you'll need to succeed
You are a Structural Engineering Graduate with at least 3 years' post grad experience. You can design in a range of materials. You are able to manage your own workload and have great communication skills to be able to liaise with both clients and colleagues. Design software experience includes Autocad, Revit and Tekla Tedds. You can work to a high standard and you are keen to develop your skills. You can demonstrate a passion for what you do and a willingness to learn.
