An independent Construction and Cost Consultancy based in Suffolk is now looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. The company undertake a range of professional building surveying functions for corporate clients as well as a number of local authorities, housing associations and for the NHS. They have picked up series of long term commissions from the NHS, advising on a range of fabric and structural issues as well as managing projects ranging in value from £50k to £20m.
Your new role
As a Senior Building Surveyor you'll be responsible and managing a team of up to 10 surveyors that carry out a range of duties for their clients across the East of England. You will be joining an experienced team of Building Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and will take responsibility for a small team of Building Surveyors working on projects spanning the healthcare, private residential, commercial and leisure sectors. Projects are spread between East Anglia and London and range in values from £5 to £20 million, being refurbishments, extensions of wards for instance as well as new build.
Your duties include; party wall, inspections and condition reports, specifications and CAD drawings for minor works, dilapidation's as well as the tendering and contract administration of projects and maintenance contracts. You'll also be leading on a series of key projects for a number of NHS trusts that are reviewing, repairing and in some cases replacing faulty RAAC roof panels.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor with a proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion, preparing specifications, managing tender documentation, contractors, attending site meeting through to final accounts, who will also have strong leadership skills. MRICS is preferable but applicants with relevant experience will also be considered.

You may need to be in the office on occasion though we expect that a large part of this role could be delivered remotely.
