This brand-new permanent job opportunity sits with a central London public sector organisation who are looking to expand and grow their internal property department to cope with the demands of an impressive growing portfolio. This exciting job opportunity will provide the successful candidate with long term career structure, the chance to manage some of London's greatest assets and you'll benefit from a wide variety of properties across the estate.

Your new role

Senior Principal Surveyor - Property & Asset Management / Strategic Portfolio Management

The roles primary function will be to provide commercial property & asset management support across an allocated operational portfolio which could include other authority assets, markets, courts, and investment assets. You'll be required to provide a holistic view of the portfolio, write strategic business plans, service objectives and team management.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing a c.£11m annual rent roll, rent reviews, lease renewals, acquisitions, disposals, and service charges. Managing external stakeholders will also be an integral part of the role overseeing transactions, challenging valuations, and seeking development appraisal guidance.

What you'll need to succeed

This role will require a mix of experience, the ideal candidate will have worked in both public and private settings and is comfortable with process driving tasks. MRICS Qualified is essential, holding a proven track record of managing complex mixed-use portfolios. Commercial experience is vital as the portfolio predominantly comprises of office, retail, leisure and light industrial.
