Your new company
An independent Construction and Cost Consultancy based in Suffolk is now looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. The company undertake a range of professional building surveying functions for corporate clients as well as a number of local authorities, housing associations and for the NHS. They have picked up series of long term commissions from the NHS, advising on a range of fabric and structural issues as well as managing projects ranging in value from £50k to £2m.

Your new role
As a Project Manager Quantity Surveyor you'll mainly be responsible a range of post contract duties for their client, the NHS, in Harlow. Your duties will include; refurbishments, evaluating estate uses and extensions of wards. In this role you will play a key role in keeping the hospital up and running, your work will have a tangible impact on the community. You will be joining an experienced team of Building Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and will have the opportunity to work on projects spanning the healthcare, private residential, commercial and leisure sectors.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion, preparing estimates, working on tender documentation, producing BOQ's, attending site meeting through to final accounts. MRICS is preferable but applicants with another professional membership i.e. CIOB and relevant experience will also be considered.

What you'll get in return
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you'll receive a salary of up to £50,000, 24 days annual leave + bank holidays, mobile phone and laptop, Auto-enrolment pension, Life assurance, group income protection as well as business mileage and an optional health scheme. We expect that a large part of this role will be carried out on site in the estates office but anything that does not need to be conducted on site could be delivered remotely.
