Your new company
You will be working for a family owned high end house builder who are expanding their team in the East Midlands region. The organisation have a reputation for building high quality dwellings with sites ranging in size up to 55 units. Due to continued success in the market the company are looking to add a permanent Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team.


Your new role
You will be reporting to the director and managing build costs, cash flows and budget financial information. You will also be responsible for fostering and continuing to build relationships with local authorities. You will also be required to deal with sub-contractors to agree contractual terms and placing orders. You will need to demonstrate both verbal and written communication skills and provide the operational team with budgets, commercial reports and estimates for inclusion in Land Appraisals. You will need to authorise payments and where required follow up missing or late payments. The role will involve overseeing 3 live sites ranging in size from 25 - 55 units. Currently the organisation complete on around 70 units per year but they are looking to increase this to 200 units over the next 5 years.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful you will be working as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in the residential new build sector. Experience of refurbishment or change of use would also be advantageous. You will have a high level of knowledge regarding building regulations and NHBC requirements. A full UK driving license is required.
