Your new company

As Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor you will be operating on the client side regarding Health, Safety and Environmental topics within the organisation. This role offers an immediate start with a permanent contract.

Your new role

In your new role as Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor you will be part of the HSQE team responsible for coordinating the operations of the organisation management systems and provide effective support, advice and guidance to management and staff.
With a strong background in health, safety and environmental topics you will guide people and effectively promote compliance and a safe, healthy and environmentally friendly workplace.
As part of your new role you will support managers and staff through the review/ undertaking of risk assessments and method statements across environments such as laboratories, estate/ facility maintenance activities and agricultural operations.
You will regularly inspect buildings, plant and equipment to ensure that adequate standards are maintained in order to minimise health, safety and environmental risk.
You will also advise on the health & safety of contractors and perform and participate in workplace audits to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal procedures.
Part of your role as health, safety & environmental advisor will include developing, implementing and improving processes, procedures and safe systems of work.


What you'll need to succeed

You'll need to have a proven track record in implementing health & safety legislation, a working knowledge of ISO systems and also a proven track record in developing and delivering health and safety training. You must hold a NEBOSH national general certificate in health & safety or equivalent qualification.
In addition to your core technical skills you must have strong IT skills and be able to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
