Your new company
A leading global consultancy with over 80 years of design and engineering expertise, where you'll be surrounded by the skills, knowledge and support to help you succeed. Their Transportation teams are reinventing transport for a challenging yet exciting future - creating new ideas and smart solutions for cities, people and the environment.

Your new role
You will join the Bridges and Civils teams within the Transportation Practice, based in Derby. You will support the teams working on a number of exciting, high-profile projects and frameworks. The Civil Engineering team undertakes a wide range of commissions for a variety of clients, from initial feasibility through to detailed design and implementation support. The team also supports wider projects through the UK, such as High Speed 2 and East West Rail Phase 2 and Central Rail Systems
Alliance (CRSA).
Using your technical and delivery skills, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of civil and
structural design packages and projects for new build rail schemes, renewals schemes, assessment works
and asset management schemes. Your duties will include supporting the management of both individual
design packages and entire projects, supporting project resourcing and financial control to ensure
schemes are delivered profitably, to programme, and in accordance with quality assurance systems.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a background in civil engineering design, and an interest in the delivery of multi-disciplinary
projects within the rail industry. You will ideally be familiar with working on projects at varying stages of
development from feasibility to detailed design. You hold a l BEng / MEng or MSc degree in civil engineering or equivalent and are Chartered or near Chartered status and membership of ICE or IStructE. Your role will be varied, requiring a balance of relevant industry experience, technical ability, communication and stakeholder management skills. You can also demonstrate experience of working with key clients such as Network Rail, Local Authorities, Highways England, Developers and major contractors. You have a good understanding of relevant design standards (e.g. Eurocodes, Network Rail standards, DMRB and MCHW).

What you'll get in return
You will be offered a competitive salary and extensive benefits package that can be tailored to your changing lifestyle, career and personal needs. You will enjoy benefits such as partner discounts, leadership training, professional, accreditations and career planning for any stage of your career.
