Community Housing Officer

Your new company
Walsall Housing Group is a not-for-profit housing association currently responsible for more than 21,000 homes, primarily in the borough of Walsall, West Midlands. Walsall Housing Group are currently undergoing structural change, alongside extensive recruitment, to adapt to the extensive backlog following the covid-19 pandemic. This temporary contract is until 24th December 2021.


Your new role
Your role is to use innovative housing management techniques to create sustainable tenancies and communities. You will also need to build effective relationships with customers and the wider community in order to understand local challenges and work pro-actively with customers to improve outcomes. You will be responsible for building relationships with customers and supporting the work of your team and other colleagues throughout the business.


What you'll need to succeed
Your recent/relevant experience in the social housing sector is required to apply for this role. Previous Case Management experience is also needed to apply for this role. Dealing with complex caseloads, alongside experience in face to face customer interactions is essential in succeeding. Effective communication skills are also very important in order to apply for this role.
