Project Manager - Construction Central London

A medium sized contractor is looking for an experienced construction project manager

The company is a one of the UK's leading principle contractor. Delivering on projects across various sectors including Student Accommodation, Residential, Hotels, Education, Defence, Justice and Healthcare

Your new role

• Liaising with the client team in relation to the progress of work and future programme of works, updating as required.
• Writing and delivering weekly / monthly reports, attending client meetings and then following up the actions from the meeting.
• Produce the look ahead programmes.
• Ensuring the design team are providing the necessary information to undertake the works on site etc.
• Ensuring the works are being installed in accordance with the consultants design.
• Ensuring the subcontractor have capacity to and are carrying the work to expected standards.
• Arranging deliveries of materials to the site for the works etc.
• Ensuring the clients Clerk of Works is informed of work and attending site as required to undertakes field inspections of the work
• Liaise and engage with client Clerk of Works queries.
• Ensuring subcontractor compliance with H&S and quality control.
• Reviewing subcontractor accounts with the commercial team.
• Ensuring temp work designs are in place.
• Arranging necessary licences with relevant authorities.
• Meeting with plant suppliers and placing orders to ensure correct plant is being used to undertake the works.

What you'll need to succeed

• Significant previous experience project managing large commercial projects
• NVQ L7 in Construction Management, or equivalent
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of NHBC standards, JCT contracts and Building Regulations (part B)
• Hold a valid SMSTS and CSCS card along with first aid

What you'll get in return
In return you will get £280- £350 per day out of scope and offered a long term contract with opportunity to move to other projects.
