Hays is happy to be working again with a family-owned, highly respected Devon-based electrical installer who are looking for the services of an 18th edition electrician to join their team as a result of increasing workload. The company has been established for almost 15 years and has a strong reputation in the area for customer satisfaction and a high quality of installation and maintenance.

Your new role
This role is initially being offered on a self-employed basis with the intention of moving to a full-time, long-term position if desired. Under the guidance and instruction of a trained installer until you're experienced to undertake your own installations, you'll be involved with the fitting and maintenance of electric vehicle charge points and solar PV systems for domestic and commercial customers throughout the south-west.

You'll also be undertaking various other general electric works as required, including running cables, installing cable containment systems, verification, testing and inspection of single and 3 phase systems and routine servicing, fault finding, repairs and maintenance of a range of electrical systems.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you'll hold 18th edition certification, have experience working on both commercial and domestic systems in occupied properties, have excellent customer service skills and be able to clearly advise customers on product use. You should be comfortable working alone or closely with other team members, own your own tools and possessing your own van would also be an advantage.
