Your new company
An independent engineering and surveying consultancy. Established in 1985 they are a rapidly growing reputable company who provide innovative, effective and timely solutions on construction industry projects for an ever increasing scale and complexity nationwide. They have established a broad client base with projects ranging from small residential properties through to vast commercial developments. They offer civil and structural engineering expertise, ground investigation, health and safety services and building surveying as well as other specialised services and consulting support.

Your new role
You will undertake structural design on a wide variety of civil and structural engineering projects within the commercial, residential, industrial and education sectors on projects up to £30 million in value. You will work in a range of materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry. You will join a team of varying levels of experience so your knowledge and experience will be required to support and mentor more junior members. You will be required to work on cross-disciplinary projects, liaising with other teams within the business.

What you'll need to succeed
You hold a B.Eng/M.Eng qualification and have a minimum of 7 years post graduate experience. Ideally you will be chartered or working towards your chartership status through IStructE or ICE. You have design experience and structural analysis skills in all common structural materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry and you are proficient in relevant engineering design software. You can demonstrate excellent communication skills and you are able to manage numerous projects, allocate resources to meet deadlines and liaise with clients. You have previous experience managing a team of project engineers and technicians accordingly.
