Your new company

As a Maintenance Officer you will be operating on the client side in regards to planned and reactive maintenance on current housing stock. This role offers an immediate start, long term contract until early next year with with fixed working hours.

Your new role

In your new role as a Maintenance officer you will monitor quality control for small planned and reactive maintenance projects ensuring that works are carried out in accordance with agreed objectives and standards As part of your new role you will be reviewing plans for tendering works for projects including wetroom installations within properties, using Visio. You will also deal with referrals from outside stakeholders and the assessment of funding grants Your role will involve regular and timely inspection and monitoring of works and quality ensuring that specifications and quality is of a high standard.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll ideally need to have a proven track record in working on planned or reactive maintenance projects or new build developments either in a supervisory or trade capacity. You will also need to have a working knowledge of Visio software package. In addition to your core technical skills, you must have strong IT skills and be able to liaise with a range of stakeholders including contractors, tenants and the wider project delivery team. You must hold a full UK Driving license due to travel involved.

This role offers an excellent work-life balance with a fairly fixed 35 hour week, minimal travel around Dundee and you will be working for a leading Housing Association. This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience in a supervisory/ more technical role and would suit an experienced Maintenance Officer/ Clerk of Works, Site Manager or someone seeking a role off the tools.
