Permanent Commercial Assistant role - Nottinghamshire - Main Contractor - Multiple sector projects

A Nottinghamshire based main contractor are seeking a Commercial Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will involve working within a team covering multi million pound schemes and supporting Quantity Surveyors. This is a permanent role which will provide a strong foundation for progression into Quantity Surveying roles for the right candidate.

Your new role
As as a Commercial Assistant you will be coordinating within the commercial department across a number of surveying teams. The team will also act as a mentoring group and help to increase your knowledge.
You will provide support within to surveying staff enabling project costs to be registered on our accounting system on arrival to ensure reporting and contract administration is timely and accurate. Further support to keep reporting up to date and manage the IFS system through various stages of update for payments and scheme progress reporting.

What you'll need to succeed
in order to be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 1 years experience with a contractor or working in the construction industry. You will have some form of commercial or financial experience and a passion for the industry. You will have a strong understanding of construction technology and IT skills.
