As a Senior Building Safety Officer you will be operating on the client side in regard to property related health and safety. This role offers an immediate start, long term contract and fixed working hours.
Your new role
In your new role as Building Safety Officer, you will act as team leader for all building and property related health and safety matters. Your new role will involve procurement and maintenance of contracts for the supply of services relating to compliance. You will keep fully up to date with new health and safety legislation ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities in regard to health and safety matters and that they have attended all relevant property related health and safety training. You will ensure that all fire risk assessments are carried out and also carry out COSHH, manual handling and home working risk assessments. As Building Safety Officer, you will also be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance, along with the monitoring of, a register for the regular cyclical inspection of all property covering legislation including health and safety and mitigation of insurance liability
What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to have a proven track record in working within property design, maintenance, inspections and audits along with health and safety in relation to property. You must hold a NEBOSH Diploma, or SVQ/ NVQ Level 5 or similar in building/ construction or health and safety. Graduate member of IOSH would be advantageous but not essential. You will have the ability to deal with proper. In addition to your core technical skills, you must have strong IT skills and be able to liaise with a range of stakeholders
