Ross-shire Maintenance Officer £ negotiable

Your new company

As a Maintenance Officer you will be operating on the client side in regards to capital, planned and cyclical maintenance This role offers an immediate start, long term contract, fixed working hours.

Your new role

In your new role as a Maintenance Officer you will be providing a high quality and effective inspection, repair and maintenance service within in specific geographical area. Your new role will involve supervision of works ensuring that they are carried out in accordance with agreed objectives and standards and carry out final inspectors once works have been completed. As part of your role you will also ensure that works comply with health and safety regulations. Within your role you will also respond to repair requests, which will include liaising with the end user. You will also be tasked with appraising and prioritising maintenance works and issue work orders to maintenance team and external contractors Your role will involve managing the relationship and communications between the contractor and the end client.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll need to have a proven track record in working on planned or cyclical maintenance projects either in a supervisory or trade capacity. You must hold relevant industry qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS card or HNC/ HND Construction Management and ample experience in the construction sector. In addition to your core technical skills, you must have strong IT skills and be able to liaise with a range of stakeholders including contractors, tenants and the wider project delivery team. You must hold a full UK Driving license due to travel involved.

In return you will receive a competitive hourly rate. , This role will offer you an immediate start, provide you with a proposed contract duration of 3 months but could offer longer term prospects. This role offers an excellent work-life balance with a fairly fixed 35 hour week. This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience in a supervisory/ more technical role and would suit an experienced Maintenance Officer/ Clerk of Works, Site Manager or someone seeking a role off the tools.
