Site Manager for construction permanent job in Sussex
This is an opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join the team of this Sussex based main contractor. With a diverse and exciting portfolio of projects, from £1m - £8m, they are recruiting for a Senior Site Manager who has a construction background and is looking to work locally with a strong and well established build team. You will be working on projects ranging from education to commercial, leisure, healthcare, housing - the majority of which are for local Sussex communities, contributing exciting buildings and amenities for local people and companies.
To oversee the full on site project, from site set up through to completion. Duties to include -
Overseeing the enabling works, sub-contractors and materials as they arrive on site (including inductions)
Keeping full site records and dealing competently with site correspondence
Attending site meeting
Reporting to the Contracts Manager
Review method statements and risk assessments
What you'll need to succeed
- 8 years + experience of running sites from set up to completion
- A strong construction technical knowledge Ideally work in similar sectors eg. Commercial, healthcare, education, leisure, residential, industrial, heritage and ecclesiastical
- Working knowledge of projects from £1m to £8m
- The ability to problem solve
