Working Supervisor required for respected regional building contractor
Your new company
I'm delighted to be working again with a regional contractor who can trace their roots back over a century and who have developed a well-deserved reputation for exemplary quality of workmanship. They are active in a number of sectors including bespoke residential new build and refurbishments, school projects and public sector buildings.
Your new role
Reporting to an approachable and supportive contacts manager, you will be leading the line on your own projects of up to £500k in value, both supervising the team around you and actively working on the tools to deliver jobs to programme and quality expectations.
Other duties will include attending progress meetings, liaising with customers, dealing with specialist subcontractors and suppliers and ensuring the highest levels of tidiness, safety and environmental awareness are maintained throughout the course of the project.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you'll be from a trade background (carpentry/joinery or bricklaying preferred), hold either SMSTS or SSSTS and a current first aid certification would also be a benefit. You should have excellent customer service skills and be able to confidently and articulately communicate with clients and their representatives.
What you'll get in return
In return for your hard work and expertise, you'll receive a competitive salary, pension and benefits package, including the provision of an expensed company vehicle. You'll have the peace of mind that you are joining a very well-established contractor with a secure order book stretching into 2023, with much of their business coming from repeat customers and referrals.
