Your new company
This organisation is a global leader in environmental and advisory solutions helping clients to achieve their sustainability goals. They employ over 1650 staff across 5 regions - including over 430 staff across Europe. Despite the size of the business their 'one team' culture is at the heart of the business; providing a collaborative and supportive environment for professional development.
Your new role
You will manage and provide assistance on a diverse range of engineering projects, across sectors including power (wind farms, sub-stations), infrastructure (waste facilities, general developments) and built environmental (residential etc). You will be required to run your own projects including budgets and communicate well with clients and contractors. You will run projects from feasibility through the design, tender and construction phases to final handover.
What you'll need to succeed
You can demonstrate a strong background in Civil Engineering consultancy, ideally with expertise in managing engineering projects in a commercial consultancy environment. You hold or are working towards Chartered Structural or Civil Engineer status (IStructE or ICE). Your experience of Microdrainage, Civils 3D and/or AutoCAD is essential for your success. You have also a working knowledge of engineering design (reinforced concrete, steel, earthworks, drainage and external works design), programme management, engineering contracts (ICE7th, NEC3, FIDIC), together with experience of the tender process and management of construction projects.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered a competitive salary based around your level of experience. There is also an extensive benefits package which includes a company pension and healthcare offering, travel and life insurance, critical illness cover and a structured career framework with regular reviews offering outstanding opportunities for progression. This means your progression is in your hands and you are not reliant on opportunities opening up above your level - if you can prove you have reached a certain standard you will get promoted. Alongside 25 day's annual leave, the company offers agile working which allows staff to tailor hours worked around core hours, and their family friendly policies help balance the needs of professional and family life.
