Exceptional Contractor seeks Commercial Manager to lead their commercial team in Scotland.

Your new company
Our client are a leading national contractor who have operations across the country and internationally. Focusing very much on the high end refurbishment and complex fitout market they have strong market presence already in Scotland and are looking to grow it. To sustain this growth they are seeking to appoint a Commercial Manager to their management team up here.


Your new role

This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to expand their experience beyond simply delivering projects. Of course that will be a part of your role and you will be expected to have strong experience of project delivery for a main contractor within the Scottish market. Beyond that you will also have input into the strategic direction of the business from advising the directors on tender strategy and selection to assist the rest of the commercial team in the delivery of their projects. Day to day you will have project delivery responsibility on a range of projects from high end residential fitout to complex refurbishments.


What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be a senior Quantity Surveyor who is looking to take their next step to commercial management or an experienced Commercial Manager looking to take on a more strategic role. You will be a commercial expert and have deep experience of delivering successful building construction projects from a main contractor in your background. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator able to present professionally to a range of project stakeholders from clients to subcontractors and you are comfortable in challenging commercial environments.
