Senior Civils Planner

Senior Civils Planner required for a Tier 1 Contractor on a large Highways project in Lancashire

Working for a Tier 1 Contractor who specialise within Highways, this is an outstanding opportunity to become part of an experienced Project team on a large project in Lancashire

Your new role:

• You'll be a Senior Planner working on a new multi-million pound Highways project, and the project has already started on site

• Your responsibilities will include the co-ordination of live projects by working with key stakeholders of the project teams to develop, monitor and maintain contracts, the programme, and life-cycle of the project

• You will be required to support planning and project controls, and to help deliver success on the project. You will be responsible for all aspects of planning, phasing, coordination and sequencing for the project, including the incorporation of design, procurement and pre-construction activities into a fully integrated, logic linked programme

What you'll need to succeed:

• You will have strong site planning experience gained on major Civil Engineering projects with a main contractor.
• You will be able to develop, design, and construct programmes based on agreed methodology and assist site teams in preparation of detailed look-ahead programmes, reviews of sub-contractor programmes, as well as providing key performance data for the production monitoring and management information system.
• You will be an experienced user of Primavera P6 and knowledge of other planning software would be beneficial for the role.
• You will also require a good understanding and practical application of NEC forms of contract, along with a solid history of working major Civil Engineering projects
