Your new role

Design Propping and Shoring Products in Melbourne, Australia.
- Design projects to supplied drawings and ensure that equipment is appropriate for use.
- Liaise with customers, customer's engineers, outside contractors or any other person who is a stakeholder in the project and ensure that the equipment to be supplied is fit for purpose.
- Use appropriate computer programs or design criteria to ensure that the most efficient methodology is carried out.

Design Company Products
- In conjunction with senior management, be integral in the concept, design and manufacturing of products.
- Carry out research and development to ensure the most modern, efficient and up to date equipment is available.
- Using Standard engineering design and analysis software to carry out analysis of products and advise of necessary changes.
- Liaise with contract Engineers to confirm design and limitations of internally manufactured equipment.
- Assist in improvement of all Company products.

Customer Liaison
- Actively promote the sales of all products both directly with customers and in conjunction with the Sales Team and Branch Sales & Operations Managers. This will include inspections and meeting on customer sites.
- Be alert for opportunities to promote the sale of other products within the Company's product catalogue.
- Keep abreast of industry knowledge within Company market segment and update relevant staff on competitor intelligence.
- Liaise with staff in relation to outstanding quotations and assist with follow up where necessary.
- Carry out site visits and customer meetings to ensure appropriate application of our products and optimal engineered solutions.

Administration
- Provide technical support and advice to staff and customers for all products.
- In conjunction with all staff, keep up to date product specification sheets and product manuals.
- Participate in meetings as required.
- Provide training to staff on engineered solutions and product applications.
- Continual improvement of technical data library.

General
- Ensure that your work environment is always safe.
- Take responsibility for your own personal safety both within the Company's premises, and when involved with Company business away from the Company's premises.
- Make constructive comment to Senior Management on how you see the Quality, Safety and Environmental systems are operating.
- Comply with all the Company's Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures/Work Instructions.

What you'll need to succeed
- Chartered engineer
- Qualified Engineer- Civil and/or Structural
- High level computer skills
- Highly effective people management and communication skills
- Experience with temporary works
