An Estimator job in Lancashire paying £40,000 + package for a high quality main contractor

Your new company
You will join a well established and high quality contractor based in Lancashire who have built a strong client base over the years. They deliver projects in the health and education sectors specialising in refurbishment, maintenance, and small build schemes up to £3m. They have a tight knit team and they hold an excellent reputation within the industry. They solely work across the North West with much of their work being repeat business. They now have a vacancy for an estimator to join their commercial team.

Your new role
You will join a small commercial team of surveyors and estimators and will be based from their head office close to Preston, reporting to their commercial manager. You will manage a range of schemes across commercial, healthcare, education, and maintenance up to the value of £3m. You will be responsible for tenders, producing bills of quantities, sourcing pre project information, analysing sub-contractor quotations, reporting and take offs. The business uses the conquest estimating software package which you will use daily.

What you'll need to succeed
You will currently be working within a commercial team as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor. They are open to the level of experience and will consider a junior applicant OR an estimator with experience looking to take on a new challenge. You will be interested in working for a smaller business who hold a strong work ethic. Client relationships are key to this business therefore you must be able to maintain and develop good working relationships both internally and externally. Experience using conquest would be beneficial.

What you'll get in return
You will be offered a salary of £30,000 - £45,000 (negotiable dependant on experience) + benefits package. You will receive support from the directors and as a company they are looking for someone who wants to work for their business on a long-term basis. The company are continually growing and gaining further contracts, they have always had a steady increase in turnover and as the business grows opportunities for progression and career opportunities will be available.
