You will be working for an established family run Building Refurbishment Contractor, specialising in high end refurbishment works both internal and external, spanning a variety of clients within London including many of the prestigious estates more renowned landlords. In the last 10 years they have taken their company through some sustained growth and diversification, which now means they have doubled their turnover and consistently take on repeat business.
Your new role
The role of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be to work with a busy and growing commercial team; the role will be to measure and assess the work undertaken and then submit detailed, accurate and timely applications for payment including final accounts, take timely and proper action (e.g., notices) in accordance with the contract. Assist with preparation of contractual claims, contribute to the set up and review of the project risk register and financial and contractual needs of a contract are fully met in line with the required standards and time constraints.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have proven experience within a Quantity Surveying role at a similar level, ideally within a fit out or refurbishment contractor, working on projects with contract values of up to but not limited to £5 million. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a fast paced environment, where jobs are turned around within quick time frames but to a high quality.
