A quantity surveyor job in Lancashire paying £55,000 + package for a successful fit out contractor

Your new company
You will join a successful fit out contractor based in Lancashire, who work on fast track projects throughout the UK on schemes up to £5m. They focus on retail and commercial schemes working with well-known blue chip clients. They have gained an excellent reputation within their market and have a solid client base with continuous repeat business. They are currently in the process of securing new contracts with major clients. They are making the appointment of an additional quantity surveyor / senior surveyor to join their commercial team.

Your new role
You will report to their commercial director and join a team of 8 surveyors at various levels. They offer a flexible approach and allow a combination of office and home working. Due to the nature of the fit-out industry you will attend site visits approximately 2 days per week across the UK, dependant on location a stopover will be required. You will manage 1 scheme at any one time, their schemes are approximately 12 weeks and the highest value will range up to £5m. They are looking for a QS who can procure packages, measure on site, challenge site teams and be client facing. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and will need to ensure work is to schedule.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be looking for a new challenge within the industry. It would be desirable for you to have retail fit out experience however they are open to surveyors from other backgrounds if you are keen to learn and develop within this sector. You will be able to manage site teams well and build lasting relationships with their clients.


What you'll get in return
You will be offered a salary of £50,000 - £55,000 + car allowance + annual bonus + excellent pension contribution + health insurance. This role will be based across the UK a couple of days a week therefore accommodation / travel will be pre-booked, and you will be able to claim for all food / drink consumed.
