My client are seeking Indirect Procurement Business Partners, with a strong background across multiple indirect categories and a good working knowledge of Public Sector Regulations. The role will be home based 3 days a week and 2 days in a modern office in Didcot, Oxfordshire. They are clearly a forward thinking organisation and are looking for people that share that mindset and attitude to the workplace as well.
This role will be quite varied as there is no category management strategy in place currently so the workload will be varied and due to this a generalist would be suited to this opportunity, the key duties of this role are as follows:
- Leading, supporting and providing updates on tenders, contract review and negotiations
- Contract management, including performance and timely review ahead of contract lapse
- Building stakeholder relationships and managing end to end competitive procurement processes
- Ensuring compliance with appropriate legislation and company procedures
- Providing recommendations to senior management through analysing spend, bench-marking and identifying savings and best value
What you'll need to succeed
You will be experienced in public procurement and well versed in any above threshold tendering, policies, processes and requirements to be successful in this role. You must have excellent negotiation and influencing skills alongside legislation and process knowledge. The successful candidate will have knowledge of Procurement software and experience in trend analysis and reporting tools. You will be experienced in procurement strategy setting as a more commercial approach to the role.

Flexible working options available, the organisation is currently working from home, they are implementing a flexible working policy which would see you working from home up to 3 days a week. You will be paid up to £55,000 depending on experience which is a generous salary compared to regional averages for the requirements of this position, you will also be given 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays and the option to buy more.
