Permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join a charity based in Cornwall - £30,000 + Benefits


Hays are working in partnership with Spectrum ASD to present a new permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join their team in Cornwall (Truro). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced property maintenance professional to take a lead across day to day management of the maintenance department, overseeing works across 25 properties.

About Your Role

You will manage all maintenance works, as well as the overall maintenance department to ensure all works are carried out to the highest possible standard. This diverse role will provide opportunity for you to offer day to day management of trades operatives, overseeing reactive and planned maintenance programmes, overseeing health & safety statutory requirements, liaison with specialist contractors, and management of risk assessments and method statements. You'll supervise work across 25 unique properties, including residential style homes, 7 larger care homes, and education centre and other specialist facility.

What you will need to succeed

In order to succeed in this position, you should have a background in property maintenance, either as a trade operative with supervisory experience, or in facilities or surveying. Ideally, you'll have a mechanical or electrical qualification, and IOSH / NEBOSH would be desirable (but not essential).
